Unlike many traditional martial arts where bare-handed techniques are taught first, students in Kali Escrima begin their journey by learning to handle weapons right away. This method prepares practitioners to react instinctively in high-pressure situations, making the transition to "Empty Hands" training, or unarmed combat, smoother as they progress in rank. 

       As part of your training in Kali Escrima, you will learn effective techniques to swiftly disarm an armed attacker, regardless of the circumstances. This art form is highly regarded for its focus on disarming strategies, with each class underscoring a crucial principle known as "De-Fanging the Snake." This principle emphasizes neutralizing the threat without escalating the situation further.
